JULIUS ATUSASIRE KIKONGI BAINGANA was born at Kakigyere village in present day Ntungamo District to the BAINGANA STEPHEN and FEDDY KANAAMA BAINGANA.

 

He had his early education at Kagamba Nursery, Ihunga primary

school and Nyakayenje primary School. He completed his O-Level at

Kyamate Secondary School. KIKONGI later attended Kagamba

Secodary school for his A-level and joined Makerere University

where he studied SOCIOLOGY and GENDER.

Julius Atusasire Kikongi Baingana also studied Computer Applications, Project Planning and Management, Guidance and Counseling, Human Resource Management, Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E)Training of Trainers (TOT, Peace and Conflict Management, Oil and Gas Management, Human Rights and Good Governance and several other courses from different institutions such as MUBS, MISD, Cavendish University, UMI and MUK.

 

While at Makerere University, KIKONGI’s desire for service inspired

him to actively participate in Makerere University politics and was

honoured to serve as the Deputy General Secretary for Makerere

University Sociology Students Association (MUSSA) as well as an

Active member of Makerere University Gender Students Association

(MUGSA). Kikongi was also a Chairman of J & L hostel during his

campus times.

 

Three days after completing his Studies at Makerere, KIKONGI went

for a Leadership training course in Discipline, Political Education,

Shwahili language and Basic Miltary training at National Leadership

Institute (NALI) - Kyankwanzi.

 

Julius Kikongi is a Capacity Building Specialist and a Research Consultant at Makerere Capacity Development and Research Institute (MCDRI)

 

KIKONGI also the C.E.O the founder of YEMAD (Youths on Environmental Management and Development) as well as Forum

for Education Development Initiative (FEDI), Africa Population
